Masonic Discussion Group

Our Masonic discussion group is operated jointly by Ephesians 5:11, Inc. and Ex-Masons for Jesus.  The discussion group is open to Masons and non-Masons alike.  The purpose of the discussion group is to foster an honest dialog about Freemasonry.

Many of the Masonic discussion groups on the Internet contain vulgarity, obscenity, etc. Such unacceptable behavior has been exhibited by Masons and non-Masons alike.  In order to insure decency, we will conduct a moderated group.  The lead moderator is Duane Washum, Former Past Master, Vegas Lodge #32.  Free dialog is encouraged here; we want to insure discussion in which both sides of the issues are put on the table - to be examined by all.  No post will be rejected because we do not agree with the comments.  However posts which exhibit vulgarity, obscenity, and other unacceptable behavior will be deleted.

You do not have to become a registered user to make comments, start a new thread or follow the discussions, however registered users have greatly increased capabilities such as sending private messages to other registered users who accept them.  Additionally, registered users may make longer posts and may enter information in their user profile.  Your email address is not displayed on the discussion board.

Ex-Masons for Jesus

A note about the relationship between Ex-Masons for Jesus and Ephesians 5:11, Inc.

Ex-Masons for Jesus is a fellowship organization composed of those who have left the Masonic Lodge and its various affiliated bodies to follow Jesus Christ.  There is a substantial relationship with Ephesians 5:11, Inc.  It is a relationship of dialog and cooperation.  We cooperate with several other ministries in the same way.  The boards of directors of Ephesians 5:11, Inc. and Ex-Masons for Jesus are totally separate.  No individual or individuals serve on the boards of both ministries.

Six years before Ex-Masons for Jesus was formed, Charlie Wiley wrote several ministries which ministered to Masons and suggested that they hold a conference so that they might investigate ways of cooperating with each other to share strengths, documentation and other non-financial resources.  The result of Charlie's suggestion was the first National Leadership Conference on Ministry to Masons, held in Washington D.C. during 1990.  Beginning in 1993, the National Leadership Conference on Ministry to Masons has been coordinated by Ephesians 5:11, Inc. with input from the dozen or more  ministries which have participated.  In 1997, a decision was made to shorten the name of the conference to Ministry to Masons Conference.  Former Masons have attended all of the conferences, along with some active Masons beginning in 1993; they are always welcome in these open conferences.  At the third conference, in June of 1995, a suggestion was made that it would be good if a group of former Masons would form an organization named Ex-Masons for Jesus, composed of men who had left the Lodge to follow Jesus Christ.  The recommended purpose was to provide a group of men who would be witnesses to the churches so that no group of church leaders who chose to oppose Freemasonry would have to stand without the testimony of someone who knew the truth about Freemasonry from direct experience.  The suggestion was embraced by the group of former Masons who attended the conference.  Charlie Wiley and Thomas Hilton became the founding directors.  Duane Washum manages this web site.
